I have great news to announce!
We have signed on our first headliner for the 2015 Book 'Em North Carolina event. It is Terry Irving, winner of multiple Emmys, Peabodys, DuPont and Telly Awards and a 40-year veteran of broadcast journalism. He began his career during the Watergate era, and he's produced stories around the world, including the fall of the Berlin Wall and Tiananmen Square. He's worked with veterans Diane Sawyer, Wolf Blitzer, Ted Koppel, Aaron Brown and many more - on CNN, FOX, MSNBC, and ABC.
Terry is the author of the on-going series "On the Road" and the self-help book "The Unemployed Guy's Guide to Unemployment". His debut novel, "Courier", pulls from his time as a courier during the Watergate years as he delivered film and information on the Watergate investigation. The book has been endorsed by Sam Donaldson, Ted Sorenson, Aaron Brown, Ted Koppel, Emlyn Rees, and many others. He is an active member of the International Thriller Writers and Mystery Writers of America, and serves on the board of the Foundation for Moral Courage.
In "Courier", which released worldwide on May 1, 2014, amidst the scandal and backdrop of Watergate, a courier picks up a roll of newsfilm and after the correspondent and crew are killed, discovers he is next on the killer's list. With the help of friends - and a woman who threatens to crack the shell he's built around his heart - Rick must discover what's on the film and why officials are willing to kill to keep it from the front pages.
